Start with the human need.
Riders need to find a car, follow its arrival and move through a trip with confidence. Drivers need a clear view of the journey and reliable location updates.
02 / THE APPROACH
Bring the pieces together.
Built most of the Android frontend in Java: Google Maps, custom car markers, smooth driver tracking, foreground and background location services, offline GPS persistence, push notifications and deep linking.

What took shape.
Earlier professional project experience from 2019. A functional ride-hailing MVP with customer and driver applications, with GPS samples stored locally and sent to the backend for fare calculation.
